From Bay Area artist Norma I. Quintana's body of work that documents her close relationship with Circus Chimera, a multi-ethnic circus that tours throughout the United States. QuintanaÕs photographs capture the circus performers in their moments of contemplation, in scenes between acts, with expressions displaying the rigors and physicality of a subculture that comes from a nomadic existence.
